Mel Ray, a Brenton Community, is located in one of the fastest growing towns in Iowa, Ankeny. While Ankeny’s growth has been phenomenal and the cost of housing has grown just as fast, owning one of our homes in Mel Ray is still significantly less (20% or more) than other housing options or other manufactured housing communities. Ankeny has built several new schools to accommodate the rapid population growth, including one across the street from Mel Ray. Mel Ray has a playground for kids and laundry facility in the lower level of a rental property that also serves as the storm shelter for all residents.
